NEWS for the KDE System Control Tool v.0.1.x

99/09/19 : Whole lot of changes/add-ons! Rewrote large parts of
base configuration stuff and ISAPnP is actually using it
already. root may now change ISAPnP resources on-the-fly but
I get error messages from the isapnp kernel code for some
particular cards - others just work fine.
Anyways, when changing resources you get immediate feedback on
resource conflicts, now that's quite fun :-)
Added a new driver tab (proof of concept, so to say) that
already displays information on X server (select your graphics
board, hit 'Properties' and choose tab 'Driver').

99/07/25 : ISAPnP scanner partially rewritten and expanded - it
now delivers information on resource base configuration, too;
added resource conflict detection - information on conflicts
is displayed in the 'Resources' dialog

99/07/22 : Flipped to GPL licencing; SCSI host adapters are now
counted before SCSI bus rescan starts so all host adapters
should be rescanned from now on; some support for parallel
interfaces; Matthias Hlzer-Klpfel is going to add support
for PC cards and serial interfaces, soon.

99/07/21 : Added IDE devices and parallel ports, some restructuring
for SCSI; if called by root, one may rescan the SCSI bus pressing
the 'Refresh' button now, but be cautious: This is done by removing
and re-adding all the SCSI devices connected and I'm not sure if
this may cause problems when parts of the file systems are located
on SCSI hard drives. In addition, I only scan narrow SCSI (8 ID's)
as I don't know yet how to investigate what kind'a host adapter is
in the machine (narrow/wide).
